Fork in the Road - Zacchaeus

Modern society's wide array of consumer choices habituates us to living dispassionate, disengaged lives. The danger is that we abdicate our personal responsibility to definitively make a decision and choice on the most important things in life. Zacchaeus' stirring example in Luke 19 encourages us to reject the prevalent crowd mentality of our society which is comfortable just looking on anonymously and passively at the Jesus who is walking by. The fork in the road for all of us starts by breaking from the crowd and personally seeking Jesus. ( notes)
