We propose that reasons and obstacles to belief, while legitimate and in need of satisfactory, convincing answers, need not paralyze a person from responding to Philip's simple words in John 1:43-49. In fact, taking one's life experiences into account as part of the equation to seeking God can bring God from a mere category to something quite personal.
