Psalm 73 - Recognizing Eternal Things

November 16, 2008 - Pastor Ed Kang

We envy the wicked because we think they have no struggles and no worries; they are so carefree. However, we fail to see the hidden cost of sin, which is that it takes a toll on our hearts. In fact, life is full of struggles for everyone. The question is what kind of struggles do you want to have? Even though we have become Christian, our valuation of what a good life is has not changed, it's just that now, the means through which we achieve it is through our service to God. But when things don't pan out the way we want, Christian life and even our very service to God become oppressive. We need to enter the sanctuary of God and to recognize that the link between God and goodness in our lives cannot be found within the four corners of our earthly lives. This link is validated only in the context of eternity and we need to recognize final things, that our behavior now affects our ultimate destiny. ( Psalm 73 - Part I Notes)
