We all have a picture of what will make us happy. As we project into the distance, it looks perfect. But we'll discover that forecasting for happiness often leaves out some important considerations. Just as the younger son did in the Prodigal Son story (Luke 15) as he looked out at the distant country, he (and us) fail to account for our own sinful selves.
