Like the prodigal son, we find ourselves running from the Father's love again and again, wondering what "true freedom" really is, feeling alone, and exiled. In Luke 15, in a moment of grace, the prodigal son comes to his senses and returns home, responding to the longing in his heart and unable to accept the pigsty he is in as his final destination. The prodigal's return into his Father's presence is Jesus' invitation to us to start our own journey home to our Heavenly Father.
