What LIES in the heart - Part III - Mistrust

"You will not surely die..." The words of mistrust and suspicion that are planted in us come in many familiar ways: "There's no free lunch." "What's the catch?" "It's too good to be true." "You'll see..." Though there's some value to be "too smart to be duped," it does come at a cost. The fact is that there are precious gifts in life that can only come by trustingly receiving them. The gospel is very good news, and in fact is too good NOT to be true. We mustn't let doubt prevent us from taking God at His word, seriously.
